Roverwood Ranch History
Roverwood Ranch opened in November 2013, as the dream of Mark Higley. An experienced dog owner, handler and pet-sitter, Mark knew that Leavenworth needed a place people could trust with their dogs. Sharon Higley, Mark's sister-in-law, was brought on as the Grooming Manager, because she and Mark had the same ideas about how dog care should be provided and because of Sharon's extensive grooming experience. Mark passed away in April 2014, and Sharon and Mark's brother, Glen, vowed to continue the outstanding care Roverwood was becoming known for.
Now, over 6 years later, Roverwood Ranch has seen approximately 3000 dogs come through its doors for boarding, grooming and/or day care. Mark's legacy of providing outstanding, personalized care for your little pawtners continues to grow based on those early philosophies and tons of love. We know that dogs are not just dogs, but members of your family. Happiness and safety are the top priorities at Roverwood Ranch, from that first day in 2013 to now.
The Roverwood Ranch facility gives your Pawtner the best of both worlds - indoor and outdoor. They can socialize in our climate-controlled play space or romp around outside on the soft, green turf. They can lounge with their pals or be rip-roarin’ rowdy with their friends.
We offer three indoor/outdoor play areas where we separate dogs by size and temperament. Dogs can choose to go in or out as they wish while in day play. Our outdoor areas have K-9 Grass, an artificial turf especially made for dogs. Waste is picked up immediately and we sanitize both the indoor and outdoor areas every evening or as needed throughout the day. No mud, sticks, dust or rocks to worry about! Our outdoor areas are enclosed with an 8-foot fence that extends into the ground - no digging under or climbing out!
Ranch-Hand Pack Members supervise play at all times to ensure each ranch guest is having a fun, positive experience. Each play space is equipped with Roverwood Ranch Webcams so you may watch your Pawtner from home, office, hotel, or by way of smart phone. Grooming services are also available, so your Pawtner can look his/her best.
